World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to an item are a way to increase the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade you choose, it may increase the rarity of an item, or its Mark Level and increase other stats.

Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a specified amount.

Item Level

The value of an item upgrader's stats base increases as it is upgraded. The value is the sum of all its leveled up benefits (attack magic attack, attack defense). Upgrades can be expensive depending on the person you hire and what you decide to do. This is due to the sheer number of perks that have to be modified to upgrade an item.

It can also be used as a gating requirement when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It can also be used as a gating requirement while waiting for dungeons, scenarios and raids, and to limit the amount of PvP gear that a player can wear (since PvP is limited to the lower levels). The average level of an item is listed on the character sheet.

Utilizing the level of an item can help players compare the power of equipment when deciding to purchase or sell. It's an excellent indicator of an item's quality and how much damage it will be capable of dealing with. The level of the item can be used to compare items when examining a vendor's inventory.

On your PC, you can check the level of the item using ALT, or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will show the full description of the item, as well as its level. It can also be found by hovering over an item with the mouse cursor, and then entering /itemlevel into chat.

There are a few theories on how the calculation of the item's level is done. One theory suggests that the level of an item is determined by a formula that calculates how valuable an item's stats really are. It takes into account the fact that different perks have different worth and that gems in sockets add to the overall value of the item. This process could result in a calculated value for the item's ilvl, which is typically close to Blizzard's real item level.

It's not the only factor that affects the value of an item. The degree of the area in which the item dropped can also change its stats. For instance, it could increase the item's haste or crit score. This means that items dropped at higher levels will have more ilvl than those from lower-level instances.

Item Stats

The stats of an item can be the difference between a good or bad item for players. The game uses a lot of them in various ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the best." The stat mods of an weapon increase the base stats. These stat mods are then enhanced by a player's skill.

Item upgrades add to that by increasing certain stats on the item. The rarity of an item determines the upgrade cost. A grey or white item for instance, will only be upgraded once and items that has rare tiers can be upgraded multiple times with higher prices.

Affixes are a different method to alter the stats of an item. They are stat boosts that can be added by the player to an item. Affixes are used to give items additional damage or other special capabilities (such as revitalizing dead or reducing cooling downs) or to distinguish them by putting a name on them.

Presently, all affixes are able to be changed by selecting them from the upgrade item window and pressing the green button with the arrows that circle. This will cost a certain amount of gold and other items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges, just like the other methods of rerolling.

In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can select which stats they want to keep on an item upgrading when it is upgraded. The possible ranges of stats for an item are based on the level of the item, however all items are guaranteed to have at least 1 stat within the range, unless it's an exclusive item or the result of a God roll from a raid boss.

Another thing that could change is the option to upgrade equipment without having to roll the affixes, or choose which stats to boost. Like the base equipment, it must be done per item and the item comparison interface wouldn't display all possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player increases the probability of obtaining items, the properties that are spawned by loot and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or ability to upgrade items. It simply gives players the chance to upgrade their equipment earlier in the game and is therefore more useful in the initial game run than later ones because most players value greater weapon scaling and defense over the raw damage gain.

Luck can also increase the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith’s overall chances of upgrading that increase with each level of the item. They can also be increased with the use of anti-materials, such as the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, shields, and armor can be created or spawned by using the Luck property, which has the default value of 40. These items can then be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the type of material used) to grant an additional +40 Luck, or to increase the Luck of an item, up to 140.

Furthermore some items, like the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow can be used to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items can be bought from the shop or crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Item upgrades are a costly process and not every upgrade item will be successful. Cash shop items can be used to boost the success rate of an upgrade item or to prevent players from losing their item if it fails.

When you upgrade an item the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of successfully upgrading the item, and can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased by so much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail can't exceed 100%.

The Luck of an item may influence the effectiveness of an upgrade. Each item has an initial success rate of 25% and each item with Luck increases that chance by an additional 5percent.

The upgrade overlays for items are displayed above items in the inventory. This could cause obscurity to enchantment effects or other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
